What is it?
The G20 3 Series received its LCI mid life facelift in 2022, with sharper headlights, a revised grille, and the move to BMW's curved display running iDrive 8.5. Three core grades for Australia: 320i, M340i xDrive, and the M3 Competition xDrive flagship.
The lineup runs from 320i at $76,800 plus on-roads, through to M3 Competition xDrive at $182,900 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.
Interior and Technology
Still the dynamic benchmark, with sharp steering and a balanced chassis. M340i xDrive delivers a 4.4 second 0 to 100 km/h and the M3 Competition cracks 3.5 seconds.
320i base feels underpowered against badge expectations. iDrive 8.5 dropped the rotary controller, leaving touch only operation that is fiddly on the move.
