What is it?

The U10 X2 is BMW's coupe roofed take on the X1, sharing the UKL2 front drive biased platform but with a longer, more rakish silhouette, frameless doors and a 30 mm lower roofline. Four powertrains: 1.5T sDrive18i, 2.0T MHEV sDrive20i, full electric iX2 eDrive20 with 449 km WLTP, and the 233 kW M35i xDrive performance flagship. iDrive 9 and wireless CarPlay standard across the range.

The lineup runs from sDrive18i at $66,400 plus on-roads, through to M35i xDrive at $100,400 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.

Interior and Technology

Coupe roof styling without losing the X1's practical bones. 560 L petrol boot is bigger than several mid size luxury SUVs. iDrive 9, curved display and wireless CarPlay standard. M35i delivers 233 kW xDrive AWD and a 5.4 second 0 to 100 km/h. iX2 in the same body on the same platform is a one decision EV choice.

Rear headroom takes a hit versus the X1, taller passengers will notice. Climate is touchscreen led, fewer physical controls than older BMWs. M35i pricing crosses into base X3 territory. Driving Assistant Pro is optional, not standard at this money.
