What is it?
The Atto 1 is BYD's smallest and cheapest car for Australia, a four-seat city EV that undercuts every other new electric car on sale. Two grades: Essential from $23,990 and Premium from $27,990, both plus on-road costs and both driving the front wheels through a single motor.
The lineup runs from Essential at $23,990 plus on-roads, through to Premium at $27,990 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 6 years, 150,000 km (vehicle).
Interior and Technology
Cabin tech is up to current BYD standard, with the dual display layout and wireless smartphone mirroring.
Safety is comprehensive from the entry grade. ANCAP awarded 5 stars.
