What is it?

The Tavascan is Cupra's first all-electric SUV, built on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform shared with the VW ID.5, Skoda Enyaq Coupe and Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback. It uses the 77 kWh net battery in all Australian grades, with a single rear-mounted motor on V1, V2 and Endurance trims, and a twin-motor AWD setup on the VZ flagship. Maximum WLTP range sits at 523 km on Endurance and drops to 480 km on the VZ. Four grades from $60,990 to $74,990 plus on-roads. 5-star ANCAP from 2024.

The lineup runs from V1 at $60,990 plus on-roads, through to VZ at $74,990 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.

Interior and Technology

523 km WLTP on the Endurance, real road-trip range for an MEB car. 15-inch landscape touchscreen, the largest in any current MEB car. Sport bucket seats, copper accents and a properly distinct cabin design. 5-star ANCAP from 2024.

135 kW DC peak is well behind the 800V Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. Cupra dealer network smaller than VW or Hyundai. VZ at $74,990 plus on-roads overlaps Polestar 4 and Tesla Model Y Performance territory.
