What is it?
The L462 Discovery is the current-generation seven-seat family Land Rover, launched in 2017 on the D7u aluminium monocoque with full air suspension. Australian range is petrol P360 or diesel D300 MHEV, both at 221 kW. 3,500 kg braked tow, 900 mm wading, seven full-size seats with electric power-folding rows.
The lineup runs from Discovery Dynamic SE P360 at $112,300 plus on-roads, through to Discovery Metropolitan Edition D300 at $148,300 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, 150,000 km.
