CarTell take

We haven't driven the GLS yet. On paper, benz and diesel models arrive from November 2026, AMG and Maybach versions not until early 2027. Options like the Rear Comfort Package ($14,000) and Plus Package ($6500) move the price a long way.

Why consider it

  • On paper it does everything at scale: seven seats, standard air suspension and 22 inch wheels on the 450s, and a 3500kg braked towing rating across the range.

What to know

  • It is expensive, from $181,900, and the towing rating needs the $3000 Towbar Package.
