What is it?
The T-Roc is Volkswagen's small SUV, sharing its MQB platform with the Polo, Golf and Skoda Karoq. With the Tiguan moving upmarket, the T-Roc is now VW Australia's volume small SUV play, and the R remains one of the most powerful small SUVs on sale at any price. Three grades from $40,490 to $61,490 plus on-roads.
The lineup runs from Style 110TSI at $40,490 plus on-roads, through to R 235TSI 4MOTION at $61,490 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.

T-Roc R makes 235 kW for a 4.9-second 0 to 100 km/h with an optional Akrapovic titanium exhaust, while Sport and R both keep 4MOTION AWD and 1,900 kg braked towing. Physical climate buttons retained.
5-year warranty trails Korean and Chinese 7-year rivals, the ANCAP rating dates to the 2017 protocol, and there is no hybrid or EV option in the range.
