The sedan market in Australia had been contracting for years by the time the Hyundai Sonata N Line arrived. Hyundai's decision to bring a sportier variant of a large sedan to a market that had largely moved on was an interesting call. The N Line package adds visual interest and sharper dynamics without the full performance treatment.

Amelia goes through what the N Line specification adds over the standard Sonata: the bodywork changes, the interior details, and whether the suspension tuning and engine outputs make a meaningful difference in daily driving. The Sonata has always been a comfortable long-distance car. The N Line version is trying to be something more than that.

For the buyer who wants a large, comfortable sedan with enough visual interest to justify the choice over an SUV, the Sonata N Line makes the argument in a segment where the competition has become thin. That works in its favour.
