The first-gen Niro EV is the original Kia electric in Australia — built on the Hyundai KONA Electric platform but with Kia's own approach to the cabin and the exterior styling.
What you are buying
A 64 kWh battery, a 150 kW front-mounted motor, and a WLTP range of around 455 km. Charging tops out at 77 kW DC. Inside, the cabin is the more conventional small-SUV layout shared with the petrol and hybrid Niro variants.
Cartell Assessment
The first-gen Niro EV was Kia's first serious electric play in Australia. Replaced by the dedicated second-gen Niro EV and the larger EV6 / EV9, it is still a competent small electric SUV on the used market.
