The Jimny Lite is the trimmed-down version of Suzuki's micro 4WD, dropping a few cabin features to hit a lower price. Underneath it is the same body-on-frame, low-range 4WD setup that has earned the Jimny its cult following.

What you are buying

A 1.5 L petrol four making 75 kW and 130 Nm, paired with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic, driving all four wheels via a proper part-time 4WD system with low range. Two doors, four seats, and a turning circle small enough to fit through anywhere.

Cartell Assessment

The Jimny is one of very few vehicles on sale that does exactly what it says on the tin and nothing else. As a second car, a remote-property runabout, or a weekend toy, it works. As a daily commuter it is loud and bouncy, and that is the point.

AU Outlook

Jimny Lite pricing in 2022 sat at $26,490 drive-away. Cross-shop is honestly the second-hand market for older Jimnys, since the new car is almost always supply-constrained.
