Geely has delivered its 20,000th new vehicle in Australia, a Geely EX2 Inspire in Comet Grey handed over at Geely Leichhardt in Sydney's inner west on Friday 21 August.
From zero to 20,000 since March 2025
The pace is the story. Geely landed here with the EX5 electric SUV in March 2025, took 14 months to reach 10,000 sales in April, then doubled the tally in just four months. The brand cracked Australia's top 10 by sales in July and now runs 80 showrooms nationally.
The milestone EX2 arrived barely two weeks after the small electric hatch launched on August 5 as the brand's third model, joining the EX5 and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid. Managing director Alex Gu called it "an incredibly exciting time for Geely" and thanked all 20,000 owners.

Three models, 17 months, 20,000 cars. That is a faster ramp than BYD managed at the same age, and it is built on sharp drive-away pricing and a dealer network that is growing by the month.
AU Outlook
More metal is coming, with Geely flagging additional models for 2027. The top 10 spot it grabbed in July will be hard to hold as rivals discount, but the trajectory is clear.
