Honda Australia is handing hybrid buyers a prepaid AmpolCash fuel card, with the top offer worth up to $3,000 on the entry CR-V e:HEV X and the ZR-V e:HEV X. It is a fresh play aimed at the busy end of the hybrid market, where buyers are weighing running costs as hard as the sticker.
How the offer is split
The $3,000 card goes on the entry CR-V and ZR-V e:HEV X. Honda lists a $1,500 card on the CR-V e:HEV L, LX and RS and the ZR-V e:HEV L and LX, and a $1,000 card across the rest of the CR-V and ZR-V range plus the HR-V, Civic, Accord and new Prelude. The Civic Type R and the Super-One electric car are excluded. The card is prepaid and handed over at delivery, it cannot be cashed out, and it runs on AmpolCash terms. At about $2 a litre and 6.0L/100km, $3,000 buys roughly 25,000km of petrol.
Cartell Assessment
A fuel card only counts if the drive away price is already sharp. Get the on road figure in writing first, compare it against a Toyota RAV4 or a Hyundai Tucson hybrid, then treat the card as a bonus rather than the reason to buy.
AU Outlook
Honda has not published an end date, so confirm the offer still stands and that your chosen grade qualifies when you order. Deals like this can be pulled without notice, so get the eligible model and the card value written into your contract.
