Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed pricing for the facelifted Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, and for the first time in this generation there are two ways in. A new S580 opens the range at $517,900 before on-road costs, sitting under the V12 S680 at $582,428, a rise of $5,828 over the pre-facelift car.
What the S580 brings
The S580 runs the M177 Evo 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 with 395kW and 750Nm, backed by a 17kW integrated starter-generator on a 48V system. The S680 keeps its 463kW and 900Nm twin-turbo V12, yet both claim the same 4.5 second run to 100km/h. Both get the facelift's 20 per cent larger grille, micro-LED headlights with up to 600 metres of high-beam range, and the MBUX Superscreen with a 14.4 inch central display.

A $64,528 saving for losing four cylinders you cannot feel in the sprint is rational maths, even at this altitude. The options list is where the real spending starts: the four-seat First Class Package is $24,200 and the Night Series pack is $34,900.
AU Outlook
The Maybach pair lands in the first quarter of 2027, following the regular Mercedes-Benz S-Class update due in Australia in November 2026. Expect most local orders to stay with the V12 regardless. At this end of the market, the number of cylinders is the point.
