MG has cut its city hatch back under $20,000. The MG 3 Vibe is now $19,990 drive-away, a figure that includes a $1,000 cashback, and it pulls level with the BYD Atto 1 Essential as the cheapest new car you can buy in Australia.

The Vibe runs a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine making 81kW and 142Nm, with a claimed 6.0L/100km on the combined cycle.
