Nissan has cut the price of the Ariya, its mid-size electric SUV, to a sharp new drive-away range for October. The 63kWh Engage now starts at $42,990 drive-away, and the line runs up to $60,990 drive-away for the 87kWh Evolve with all-wheel drive.

A deadline attached

The in-between grades land at $44,990 drive-away for the 63kWh Advance and $51,990 drive-away for the 87kWh Advance Plus. The offer covers both new and demonstrator cars, but it has a calendar on it: you need to buy by 31 October 2026 and take delivery by 30 November 2026. The cut has been reported as close to twenty thousand dollars off the Ariya's earlier pricing, though Nissan has not published an exact saving.

Cartell Assessment

At $42,990 drive-away, the Ariya slides under a Tesla Model Y and a BYD Sealion 7, which changes the conversation. The Ariya has been a slow seller here, and a discount this size is the reason. For a buyer, a mid-size electric SUV under $43,000 drive-away is a genuine value moment, not a niche one.

AU Outlook

Deals this deep usually signal stock that needs to move before year end. If the Ariya finds buyers at this price, watch whether Nissan holds the line into 2027 or lets the sticker drift back up once the demonstrator stock clears.
