Nissan Australia has recalled 5,828 Nissan Pathfinder SUVs over an anti-lock braking system fault. The notice covers R52 V6 petrol models built between 9 February 2017 and 31 October 2019, and is listed on the government portal as REC-001085.
What the fault is
An issue with the ABS actuator can cause it to overheat. In the worst case that can lead to a fire, which is why the recall is treated as a safety concern rather than a routine fix. Nissan will contact affected owners to arrange an inspection and repair at a dealer.

Close to 6,000 vehicles is a meaningful number for a model that sold steadily through those years. A brake related fault carrying a fire risk is the sort of notice owners should act on quickly rather than leave sitting in the glovebox.
