The Suzuki Vitara Turbo is the version of the Vitara that has a point to make. The turbocharged engine shifts the character of what was previously a polite city SUV into something with enough confidence for a proper weekend away.
Jenny uses the Barossa Valley as the test. Winding roads through vineyards, car parks that require actual reversing skill, and the luggage load of someone who has thought too hard about which bottles to bring home. The Vitara Turbo handles it without drama and keeps the fuel consumption on the right side of reasonable.
If you want a small SUV that earns its keep on weekends without costing a large car amount of money, the Vitara Turbo is worth the conversation. Just know that you will spend as much time talking about where you went as what you drove there.
