What is it?
The B10 A5 is the badge that replaces the long-running A4, sitting on the new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture. Sportback liftback and Avant wagon bodies on sale, with 2.0T MHEV across the entry grades and a 270 kW S5 above. RS 5 flagship is confirmed and will land later with the brand's hybridised V6.
The lineup runs from A5 Sportback 35 TFSI at $78,800 plus on-roads, through to S5 quattro at $125,800 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.
Interior and Technology
New PPC platform with 48V mild-hybrid standard across the range. Avant wagon body still offered, rare in 2026. Dual-screen MMI with 14.5-inch touchscreen, optional 10.9-inch passenger display, S5 with 270 kW and electric turbo assist.
No PHEV option locally yet, both BMW and Mercedes cover that. Climate now buried in the lower touchscreen. Renamed from A4, residuals on the outgoing A4 may suffer.
