What is it?

The Flying Spur is the four-door Bentley, sitting between the Continental GT and Bentayga in the Crewe range. The current refresh kills off the W12 entirely and moves every variant to a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid. Three grades for Australia: V8, V8 Mulliner and Speed. Output spans 404 kW and 770 Nm in standard form, up to 575 kW and 1,000 Nm in Speed tune. WLTP electric-only range is up to 76 km from the 25.9 kWh battery. All variants run an 8-speed automatic, AWD, all-wheel steering and 48-volt active anti-roll.

The lineup runs from Flying Spur V8 at $458,800 drive-away, through to Flying Spur Speed at $528,800 drive-away. Warranty cover sits at 3 years, unlimited km.

Interior and Technology

575 kW V8 PHEV Speed hits 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, faster than the old W12. Up to 76 km WLTP pure-EV range covers most metro commutes silently. Hand-built at Crewe, 15 hides per car, full Mulliner bespoke available. All-wheel steering and 48-volt active anti-roll standard across the range. Naim for Bentley 23-speaker audio is the best-sounding system in any sedan.

From $458,800 plus on-roads, Speed pushes past $560k drive-away in NSW. Luxury Car Tax punishes the on-road price heavily above the threshold. 420 L boot is small for the class, with PHEV battery eating luggage space. 3-year warranty with paid extensions trails the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
