What is it?
The Seltos sits between the Stonic and the Sportage in Kia's Australian SUV stack. The SP2 facelift brought a tidier front end, the curved dual-screen dash from the bigger Kias, and a refreshed cabin.
The lineup runs from S 2.0 FWD at $29,500 plus on-roads, through to GT-Line 1.6T AWD at $42,500 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 7 years, unlimited km.
Interior and Technology
Big-car cabin tech (dual 10.25-inch curved display, wireless CarPlay) in a $29,500 plus on-roads entry, with a 7-year warranty against most 5-year rivals.
Hybrid not yet on sale (due later in the cycle). The 2.0L CVT entry is also breathless on the highway.
Should you buy the Seltos?
Reasons to buy
- Big-car cabin tech (dual 10.25-inch curved display, wireless CarPlay) in a $29,500 plus on-roads entry, with a 7-year warranty against most 5-year rivals.
- Warranty: 7 years, unlimited km.
- 5-star ANCAP (2019), full driver-assist suite.
- 498 L (1,778 L seats down) boot, segment-competitive cargo space.

Reasons to wait
- Hybrid not yet on sale (due later in the cycle). The 2.0L CVT entry is also breathless on the highway.

- GT-Line at $42,500 plus on-roads overlaps Sportage S entry pricing. If you want hybrid or AWD across the range, consider stepping up to a Sportage instead.
- Top trim climbs to $42,500 plus on-roads.
