What is it?

The MC20 is Maserati's first mid-engine supercar since the MC12 of 2004 and the first ground-up Maserati with an in-house engine in three decades. Carbon-fibre monocoque by Dallara, double-wishbone suspension, sub-1,500 kg dry. Powertrain is the 3.0L twin-turbo Nettuno V6 with F1-derived pre-chamber combustion (463 kW, 730 Nm) driving the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with eLSD. Coupe, Cielo retractable hardtop, and the upcoming Folgore tri-motor full EV.

The lineup runs from MC20 Coupe at $478,000 plus on-roads, through to MC20 Folgore at null plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 3 years, unlimited km.

Interior and Technology

In-house Nettuno V6 with Formula 1-derived pre-chamber combustion, a world-first in production. Dallara carbon monocoque keeps dry weight under 1,500 kg, lighter than every rival. Cielo's electrochromic glass roof is a genuine class-leading party trick.

3-year warranty is short for the asking price. Folgore launch timing and Australian pricing not officially confirmed. Cabin tech is deliberately minimal but feels under-specified versus Porsche or McLaren. Dealer network is small.
