Its 800V system accepts up to 400kW DC, with a claimed 10 to 80 per cent charge in about 18 minutes under ideal conditions.
The #5 is smart's first mid-size SUV, sharing a platform with the Zeekr 7X and priced from $58,900 to $73,900 before on-roads. Every version gets a 100kWh battery, 800V charging up to 400kW and a 630L boot. The 475kW Brabus claims 3.8 seconds to 100km/h. Deliveries start in November 2026.
