What is it?

The LandCruiser 70 Series is the working version of the LandCruiser name, originally launched in 1984. The current facelift adds a 2.8-litre turbo-diesel four with a 6-speed auto alongside the long-running 4.5L V8 turbo-diesel with a 5-speed manual. Part-time 4WD with low range, front and rear diff locks, live rear axle, 3,500 kg braked tow across the range.

The lineup runs from Single Cab Workmate (2.8 auto) at $77,800 plus on-roads, through to Double Cab GXL V8 at $89,600 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.
