Zeekr has confirmed pricing for the 2026 X at the Melbourne motor show, and the small electric SUV has gone cheaper and quicker at once. The rear-drive Zeekr X now opens at $48,900 drive-away, a cut of between $5,565 and $8,113 on the outgoing car, while the Performance AWD starts at $57,900 drive-away.

More power, faster charging

The RWD gains a new 250kW rear motor, up from 200kW, and claims 0 to 100km/h in 5.6 seconds. It runs a 61kWh LFP battery with 230kW DC fast charging and a 405km WLTP range. The AWD makes 365kW total, sprints in 3.7 seconds, and uses a 66kWh NMC pack for 415km WLTP.

Cartell Assessment

This is Kia EV3 money for BMW iX1 pace, from a brand that only landed here in 2024. A quick, well equipped small EV under $49,000 drive-away reframes what the money buys in this class.

AU Outlook

With the price locked, the question turns to supply and service reach. If Zeekr can deliver cars and back them, the X becomes a genuine value benchmark among small EVs.
