Ford Australia has recalled 13,907 examples of the Ford Ranger Double Cab over a fault that can stop the side curtain airbags deploying as intended in a crash.
What is wrong
In a collision, the side curtain airbag can interact with the B-pillar trim as it inflates. If that happens, the B-pillar ramp may detach and the airbag may not deploy correctly, raising the risk of injury to occupants. The recall covers MY2026 and MY2026.5 Double Cab utes built between 26 November 2025 and 10 July 2026. About 8,000 of the affected vehicles have already been delivered to customers, with the rest still in dealer stock.
