Geely's EX2 has arrived in showrooms from $26,490 before on-road costs, and the launch deal has a clock on it. Take delivery by Sunday 31 August and Geely throws in a complimentary 7kW home charger and a free metallic paint upgrade.

The second cheapest EV in the country

The Geely EX2 launched on 5 August as the brand's third model, joining the EX5 and the Starray EM-i. The entry Complete grade opens at $26,490 before on-road costs, with the better equipped Inspire at $30,990. That makes the EX2 the second cheapest new EV on sale in Australia, behind only the BYD Atto 1 at $23,990.

The charger is the real sweetener. A 7kW wallbox turns overnight charging from a chore into a habit, though note the offer covers the hardware only, so installation is on you.

Cartell Assessment

A sub $27,000 EV with a free home charger is a proper deal, not a headline trick. Geely is moving fast in Australia, 20,000 sales in 17 months, and offers like this are why.

AU Outlook

The deadline is delivery by 31 August, not order. If you want the charger, the weekend is your window. Expect Geely to keep swinging on price into the end of the year.
