The Chinese wave is not slowing down. Geely has told media it plans to export more than double the vehicles it shipped last year, and Australia is squarely on the list. Sister brand Zeekr, part of the same group, is reported to have the 7GT wagon lined up for local showrooms before the end of 2026.

Geely's own numbers show why the group is confident: it passed 20,000 Australian sales inside 17 months on the back of the Geely EX5, and it has since added the EX2 city car and the Starray EM-i. Doubling export volume means more stock, more variants and more pressure on rivals to sharpen pricing.
