What is it?
The fifth-generation Sportage launched in 2021 and was refreshed in 2025 with new Kia design, the 1.6T hybrid powertrain previously reserved for the Sorento, and an updated cabin. It remains Kia's medium SUV best-seller.
The lineup runs from S 2.0 FWD at $36,470 plus on-roads, through to GT-Line HEV AWD at $58,420 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 7 years, unlimited km.
Interior and Technology
Hybrid now available, 4.9 L/100 km claim on the GT-Line HEV, and a 7-year warranty against the segment 5-year standard.
Hybrid is only available on GT-Line. No cheaper HEV entry point, so the cost of entry into the efficient drivetrain is north of $58,000 plus on-roads.
