What is it?
The Tasman is the first ute Kia has ever built. A body-on-frame 4x4 dual cab range developed in Korea and tested in the Australian outback, positioned squarely against the Toyota HiLux, Ford Ranger and Isuzu D-Max.
The lineup runs from S 4x4 Dual Cab at $53,890 drive-away, through to X-Pro 4x4 at $77,990 drive-away. Warranty cover sits at 7 years, unlimited km.
Interior and Technology
3,500 kg braked tow at every grade, a 7-year warranty no rival matches, and an X-Pro that out-equips Ranger Wildtrak on factory off-road kit.
Brand-new to utes. No V6 or hybrid option at launch (the 2.2 TD is the only powertrain), and X-Line plus X-Pro ANCAP ratings are still pending.
