There are SUVs, and there are Range Rovers. The Sport sits below the full-size Range Rover in the lineup but carries most of the desirability and a good deal of the off-road capability. The HSE SDV6 is the diesel-powered version, which means long-range efficiency alongside the substantial presence.
Simone finds the interior is exactly what you expect at this price: well-appointed, thoughtful in layout, and genuinely quiet on the highway. The air suspension irons out Australian roads without making the driver feel disconnected. The technology is intuitive enough that it does not distract, which is more than can be said for some rivals at this end of the market.
The Range Rover Sport is not a car for people who need to justify it rationally. It is for people who have decided this is what they want and are now looking for reasons to feel good about that decision. Simone finds those reasons without much difficulty.
