The Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior is a lift-kit special with serious off-road pretensions. Built in collaboration with Premcar, it adds 50 mm of suspension lift, wider guard flares, and off-road tyres over the standard N-Trek. It is aimed at the buyer who wants visual and functional capability without the Raptor's price tag.
Simone reviews the Warrior with the awareness that it has to justify its cost against the Hilux Rugged-X and Ford Ranger Raptor. The Warrior's off-road credentials are genuine. The Premcar suspension does real work on corrugated dirt roads. But the Navara's engine, a 2.3 L twin-turbocharged diesel, is not as potent as the competition, and the interior is behind the segment's front-runners on refinement.
The Navara Warrior is the right choice for buyers who want proven off-road kit at a price below the Raptor, and who are not troubled by the Navara's refinement gap. It is not the winner in this fight, but it is a legitimate contender. The gap to the top two is real, but so is the gap in price.
