A 4x4 dual cab used to start somewhere near $50,000. Today you can drive one away for under $40,000, and the established names now sit in the middle of the pack. This is every 4x4 dual cab pick-up on sale in Australia under $60,000, ranked by its cheapest 4x4 dual cab pick-up grade.

How we ranked them: prices were checked on 4 October 2026 against each brand's Australian pricing. Some brands quote drive-away prices and others quote list prices before on-road costs, so we state the basis on every one. As a rough guide, on-road costs add $3,000 to $5,000 to a list price depending on your state. Cab chassis and 4x2 grades are cheaper again, but this list is about the ute most families and tradies actually buy: a 4x4 dual cab with a tub.

For the longest warranty, the Kia Tasman and GWM Cannon at seven years, or the Triton at ten if you service with Mitsubishi. For resale and dealer reach, the Ranger and HiLux still lead, but you now pay about $10,000 more than the cheapest 4x4 dual cabs for the badge. If you want to plug in, the Shark 6 and the Cannon Hi4-T are the two PHEVs under $60,000.
