The GR Yaris is the homologation special Toyota built to comply with WRC regulations, then handed to road buyers anyway. The Rallye spec is the more focused road-going trim, with the Torsen front and rear limited-slip differentials, the bigger BBS forged alloys, and the suspension tune sharper than the standard GR Yaris.

What you are buying

A 1.6 L turbocharged three-cylinder making 200 kW and 370 Nm, a six-speed manual gearbox, and GR-FOUR torque-vectoring AWD. The Rallye adds front and rear Torsen LSDs, the forged 18 inch BBS wheels, and Brembo brakes with red calipers.

Cartell Assessment

The GR Yaris Rallye is the most focused road-going hot hatch on sale. It is louder than a Civic Type R, harder-edged than a Golf R, and the AWD with LSDs at both ends gives it a chassis behaviour that almost nothing else under $80k can match. The compromise is the price (significant) and the ride (uncompromising).

AU Outlook

GR Yaris Rallye is no longer in production. AU pricing when new was around $56,000 plus on-road costs. Cross-shop the used market or the new GR Corolla.
