Polestar has trimmed the price of its Polestar 4 coupe in Australia by $4,600 across the board, lining it up with the new, more practical SUV-bodied version landing later this year.

Where the range now sits

Single-motor rear-wheel drive versions of both body styles now start at $73,900 before on-road costs. Dual-motor all-wheel drive versions are $81,750 plus on-roads, and the Dual motor with Performance pack sits at $95,450. That makes every coupe variant $4,600 cheaper than before. The cut follows a model year 2027 update for the Polestar 4 that brought revised spring rates, new dampers and a retuned steering setup for a more settled ride, plus an optional 22kW AC charger for $900.

Cartell Assessment

Polestar 4 buyers were paying a coupe premium for a car with no rear window. Erasing that gap is the right call, and $73,900 for a 2,230kg single-motor SUV with this cabin is competitive money in a segment the BMW iX3 and Genesis GV60 also chase.

AU Outlook

The more upright Polestar 4 SUV arrives before year end at matching prices, so shoppers can pick body style on taste, not budget. That is how it should have been from the start.
