Toyota lifted the price of two staples from November 1, 2026. The Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series is up $1,300 across all grades, and the Corolla Ascent Sport Hybrid rises $350 to $32,935. Both are list-price moves before on-road costs, not drive-away figures.

What the money buys

The $1,300 rise applies across the 76, 78 and 79 Series. As a guide, the 76 Series WorkMate wagon auto now lists at $76,900 before on-road costs, and the 79 Series GXL double-cab chassis auto at $84,800 before on-road costs. The Corolla Ascent Sport Hybrid moves to $32,935 before on-road costs. The industry read is that the incoming New Vehicle Efficiency Standard is starting to show on the price list, though Toyota has not confirmed the reason or whether equipment changed alongside the prices.

Cartell Assessment

On a truck as rugged as the 70 Series, $1,300 is unlikely to scare many buyers off, but anyone who signed last month saved themselves the increase. The Corolla move is smaller in dollars and smaller in sting, since $350 on a hybrid hatch barely shifts the monthly figure. The pattern is the point: two Toyota mainstays went up on the same day.

AU Outlook

If the efficiency-standard reading is right, more mainstream models may drift up as the rules bite. Toyota has not tied the November changes to any equipment update, so treat them as price-only for now. We will update if Toyota confirms the reason or adds specification.
