The Navara Warrior is the result of Nissan Australia handing the Pro-4X over to Aussie engineering firm Premcar and asking them to make it tougher. The result is a proper factory-backed off-road ute with locally developed suspension, tyres, bash plates and styling.

What you are buying

The standard Navara 2.3 L bi-turbo diesel making 140 kW and 450 Nm, paired with a seven-speed automatic, driving all four wheels via Nissan's part-time 4WD with low range. The Warrior pack adds the locally tuned suspension, the 32 inch all-terrain tyres, the front bash plate, and the Premcar-developed bullbar.

Cartell Assessment

The Navara Warrior is the answer for the buyer who wants a Ranger Raptor competitor on a Navara budget. It is not as quick or as committed as the Raptor, but it is more affordable and the Premcar engineering work is properly considered.

AU Outlook

Navara Pro-4X Warrior pricing in 2022 sat at $73,890 drive-away. Cross-shop is the Ford Ranger Wildtrak (cheaper) and the Ranger Raptor (more committed, more expensive).
