BYD has put a sharp price on its plug-in hybrid ute. The BYD Shark 6 is now $57,900 drive-away on both the Premium and the Dynamic Cab Chassis, confirmed on BYD Australia's own offers page. There is a catch worth knowing: it is a September play.
The offer, and the fine print
To get the $57,900 drive-away price you need to place your order between 1 and 30 September 2026 and take delivery by 31 October 2026. The offer ends on 30 September. Dynamic Cab Chassis buyers can also take a separate $3,000 your way deal, applied to cashback or selected products like accessories, car care and charging gear, confirmed at your dealer.
Cartell Assessment
Drive-away pricing is the number that actually matters, because it rolls the on-road costs in rather than leaving you to work them out. At $57,900 on the road, the Shark 6 keeps the pressure on the GWM Cannon and the wider dual-cab ute pack, and it makes a lot of diesel flagships look dear once you count the running-cost savings.
AU Outlook
Plug-in hybrid utes are the hot corner of the market right now, and BYD is not sitting still on price. If you have been weighing one up, the deadline is the thing to watch, because the drive-away deal closes with September. Full specs, battery, range and towing numbers are on our Shark 6 page.
