The month's largest single price cut belongs to a supercar. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 3LZ Coupe has dropped $36,010 to $299,990 before on-road costs, according to the November trade pricing guide.
A $36,010 cut on the hottest Corvette
That is a reduction of about 11 per cent, from $336,000, and it reshapes where the Chevrolet Corvette range tops out above the hybrid E-Ray. The Z06 is the enthusiast pick: a naturally aspirated 5.5 litre flat plane V8, the LT6, making 475kW and 595Nm and claiming 0 to 100km/h in 3.0 seconds. GMSV sells the car in right hand drive and lists the Z06 in 3LZ Coupe form only. GMSV does not publish list prices online and points buyers to dealers, so the guide figure is the reference until a dealer quote lands.
Cartell Assessment
A $300,000 Corvette Z06 still reads as a lot of money, but against European rivals with this kind of engine, the cut makes the numbers genuinely interesting for the first time.
AU Outlook
Watch whether GMSV formalises the lower pricing at dealer level. If it holds, the Z06 becomes a sharper cross-shop against Porsche and Aston Martin performance coupes.
