Denza, the premium arm of BYD, has rolled out sharp finance offers on its two plug-in hybrid four-wheel drives as it works to convert Australian interest into deliveries. The B5 and B5 Leopard get a 3.99 percent per annum comparison rate, while the larger B8 gets 4.99 percent, both through Denza Financial Services until September 30.
The fine print
The B5 offer runs on a 36-month term with a minimum 10 percent deposit. The B8 deal is also 36 months, with a minimum 15 percent deposit and a maximum 30 percent balloon payment, and a dealer origination fee of up to $1,495 can apply. Both are for approved private buyers only, with fleet, government and rental buyers excluded.
Cartell Assessment
Cut-price money is the oldest lever in the business, and it usually appears when a brand wants volume faster than the order bank is delivering it. Denza only landed its first big shipment of B5s in June, so this is about building momentum, not clearing stock. Against a Prado or LandCruiser bought on a standard rate, the maths will genuinely favour the Denza for some buyers.
AU Outlook
Denza's dealer network is still growing, so the offer doubles as a reason to walk into the new showrooms. Watch whether it gets extended past September 30.
