GWM has extended the launch offer on the Cannon Hi4-T plug-in hybrid ute from 31 October to 30 November 2026. Buyers choose either a $2,000 drive-away bonus or a $2,000 fuel card, one only, while stocks last, and the deadline applies to delivery rather than to placing the order.

What the deal buys

With the bonus applied, the Lux lands at $47,990 drive-away for ABN holders and $48,990 for private buyers, while the Ultra is $51,990 ABN and $52,990 private. GWM bills the GWM Cannon Hi4-T as Australia's cheapest plug-in hybrid ute. It pairs a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with electric drive for 310kW and 750Nm combined, a 33.1kWh battery good for about 115km of EV range on the NEDC cycle, and a 3,500kg braked tow rating.

Cartell Assessment

An extra month is a real window for tradies weighing a plug-in ute against a diesel. A drive-away price under $48,000 on a PHEV with a proper 3,500kg tow rating is a sharp number, and the choice of cash off or a fuel card covers either a tight deposit or running costs.

AU Outlook

The extension suggests GWM wants to hold momentum as more plug-in utes arrive, including the BYD Shark 6. Expect launch pricing like this to become the norm as Chinese brands fight for the ute buyer.
