Kia has pulled its Tasman ute under the $50,000 mark. The SX Plus dual-cab is now $49,990 drive-away, a figure that folds in a $5,000 cashback off the usual $54,990, and it lands more than $15,000 below the $66,490 the Tasman launched at.
The catch is the calendar
To get the price you have to buy the car and take delivery before 30 September 2026, so this is a matter of days, not weeks. The SX Plus adds 18 inch wheels, wireless phone charging, a tub liner, rear air vents and two 240 volt power sockets over the cheaper grades. The SX and S 4x4 dual-cabs sit at the same $49,990 drive-away, and Kia is running matching cashback on the K4 hatch and finance deals on the EV5 and EV3 alongside it.
Cartell Assessment
This is the cheapest a Kia Tasman has ever been, and the discount is real rather than a headline trick. Slow ute sales have forced Kia's hand, which is good news if you were already cross-shopping a HiLux or a Ranger.

Expect the badge to settle back toward $54,990 once the offer closes. If the Tasman is on your list, the maths only works this week.
