Kia Australia has issued a recall covering 11,567 vehicles built in 2025, and the list runs right across the range. It takes in the new Kia Tasman ute, the Sportage, Carnival and Sorento, plus the EV3, EV5, EV6, EV9 and K4. The notice is listed on the government portal as REC-006557.
What the fault is
A software error in the instrument cluster can leave the screen blank, or stop it responding as intended. That is the screen that shows your speed and your warning lights, so a driver could be left without critical information while the car is moving. Kia will contact affected owners and update the instrument cluster control unit software, free of charge, at a dealer.

Nine model lines in one notice looks dramatic, but this is a software update rather than a mechanical repair, so a workshop visit should be short. The Tasman is the headline because it is Kia's newest and most watched model, and nobody wants a blank dash on a brand new ute.
