GWM is bringing two new electrified models to the public for the first time in Australia. The all-new Haval H7 and the Cannon Hi4-T PHEV will make their Australian public debut at Everything Electric, held at Sydney Olympic Park from 18 to 20 September 2026.
The Haval H7
Known as the Haval Raptor in China, the H7 brings a boxy, rugged look to the Haval SUV range and sits alongside the Haval H6 as a more adventurous option. Importantly for Australia, it runs GWM's Hi4 plug-in hybrid system with four-wheel drive, so it pairs electrified efficiency with proper all-paw traction.
The Cannon Hi4-T PHEV
The Cannon Hi4-T PHEV expands GWM's electrified ute line-up, sitting below the larger Cannon Alpha Hi4-T PHEV. GWM calls it Australia's most versatile ute, pitching plug-in hybrid running costs at the practical dual-cab buyer. Cartell Assessment
GWM has worked out that plug-in hybrid utes and SUVs are where Australian interest is heading, and it is filling the range fast. The H7's styling will do the talking on the show floor, while the Cannon PHEV keeps the heat on the BYD Shark 6.
